Dodging and weaving through your enemy's blows, you draw your foe out with great skill.

HISTORY of THE RED LEGION

Created by Guy Tremiere’s adopted father, Pierce Tremiere, as a means for him to retire from being a mercenary without actually retiring. Pierce was long past his prime and starting to show more of an interest in the political side of warfare. The Red Legion formed during the reign of King Stephen. They were hired on by the royal family as a means of affordable body guards; little did the public know, the Red Legion did more than just babysit the King and his family.

Oftentimes, the Red Legion would be sent out by the King as spies. They would work on analyzing the current political and social unrest of the various surrounding areas, and would go and quell any fighting well before anything could get out of hand, sometimes with the quick thrust of a dagger, sometimes through diplomatic means.

Never very large, the Legion doesn’t qualify for the military designation it draws its name from; it hardly qualifies for the designation of Century! Nevertheless, the Red Legion was held in regard by King Stephen until he released the legion (and several others) from his service in 522. The cash-strapped kingdom could ill afford a large standing military.

Leadership of the Red Legion ultimately fell on Guy Tremiere’s shoulders in 525, during a period in which the Legion was barely making a living guarding merchant caravans. Since then, contracts have been few and far between, with old-timers cashiering out. At current, the Legion barely numbers a dozen men.
